The colors are just as they should be. You don't often see a color palette like this, but it works just great. I wonder if it could be just slightly brighter? The composition looks really good too. I like the way the moon looks like it's cradled by the tree, very creative take.
I often get mixed reviews on the brightness of my photos, some people love how they're a touch darker, while others dislike it. It's just my style to make them a bit less bright, because I like how it deepens the colors a bit more. I try to brighten them as much as I can palate... taking this one any further drained a bit of that color gradient in the sky, and that's an element of the image of I rather like.
That's not to say that I don't appreciate your critique... I'm always wanting to improve. Thank you so much!
good stuff,i love the clarity in focus on the tree, and the balance of colours that seperates black tree/foliage, and white moon. love it. if there was a monkey sat in that branch beneathe the moon, curiously poking his finger up at it, i'd love it even more. but thats asking a bit much
heh... Trust me, I accidentally named this Full Moon at Dusk in both the file name and on the image itself - and variations thereof, all with the word 'dusk,' until I finally remember that I'd taken this shot in the morning.
I'm a really big fan of sun // moon shots composed with trees. They're very much "classical" but I adore them.
This is just gorgeous. The moon has real texture (instead of being a blown out white - which it's all too easy to get with moon shots). The tree is nice and sharp, but with soft, fluffly foliage ( ) and the sky gradient just suits the shot to a tee - not too " in your face" but very much there. Fantastic.
That's why, for me, this is a - and it's really not often I do that
